Description of Basic Functions and Responsibilities:   Under the direction and supervision of administrators, or assigned supervisors, the Instructional Assistant provides instructional, behavioral, and classroom support to students in individual, small-group, and classroom settings. The position assists teachers in implementing instructional activities, reinforcing learning objectives, supporting student independence, maintaining a safe and positive learning environment, and performing related clerical and organizational duties.

The Instructional Assistant works collaboratively with teachers, specialists, administrators, students, families, and school personnel to support student achievement, social-emotional development, behavior, and overall educational success.
