**Temporary - This position is budgeted through the following categorically funded program: California Serves Grant Program, which funding is expected to expire as of June 30, 2028. BASIC FUNCTION: The Program Administrator of Civic Learning & Engagement will use this district-wide leadership position to integrate civic engagement service-learning opportunities into high school programs. This temporary position is charged with expanding access to authentic civic learning opportunities, increasing the number of students attaining the Civic Seal of Engagement. The Coordinator will leverage strong community partnerships, curriculum innovation, and targeted professional development to transform traditional community service hours into transformative, inquiry-driven civic experiences.

 

Below is a detailed list of job duties for a Program Administrator for the Civic Seal of Engagement, designed to ensure that educators are trained, classroom practices are enriched with service-learning, and high schools are connected with authentic community-based opportunities—ultimately leading to increased student engagement and the attainment of the California State Seal of Civic Engagement. By fulfilling these duties, the Program Administrator plays a pivotal role in transforming civic learning into a dynamic and engaging process—enabling educators and students alike to cultivate a sustainable culture of civic engagement and ensuring that a growing percentage of GUSD graduates earn the California State Seal of Civic Engagement.

Salary Schedule Range__ M01 Yearly Salary: $149,071- $179,151 (4-step salary schedule, salary placement dependent upon related experience)
